• In the fourth example of htlatex, the entry ‘html.4ht’ should be replaced with ‘html4.4ht’ to obtain
  htlatex foo "html,html4.4ht,picmath4.4ht" "symbol/!"

  In the fifth example, the entry ‘xhtml’ should appear first, to obtain

  htlatex foo "xhtml,html4.4ht,unicode.4ht,mathml.4ht" "unicode/!"

• The home page of TEX4ht contains files which were current on Mar 1. An up to date alternative zipped set of files includes:
  • tex4ht.c (May 24)
  • t4ht.c (Mar 22)
  • *.htf (May 9)
  • tex4ht.sty (May 27)
  • *.4ht (June 2)
  Versions of tex4ht.c from March 28 and later dates require changing in tex4ht.env the ‘d’ entries into ‘l’ entries, with the file name tex4ht.fls appended at the end. For instance, ‘lc:\tex4ht.dir\tex4ht.fls’.

  The great majority of the bug fixes and modifications apply for advanced applications. If your installation causes no problems, don’t bother downloading the current set of files.

• Paul Gartside offers dynamic web pages for MathML and TeX4ht, which include also an installer for TEX4ht on Unix platforms (an installer for MS Windows is under preparation).

• Conditer setting htlatex-like scripts for XML-TEI, Open EBook, XML-DocBook, and other configurations.

  The XML-TEI, Open EBook, and XML-DocBook settings currently have their foundations established. However, they still don’t have many configurations written and polished-they serve mainly as a proof of concept. In the near future, work will be invested in these settings only if they will have users which will request improvements.

• Steve Mayer offers a graphical user interface for TEX4ht (and other converters) on MS Win 95/98/NT.

• If ImageMagic/convert fails to translate pictures to bitmaps, replace the G script in tex4ht.env with a new (Unix, MS Win 95/98/NT) script.
